Abdoul-Ganiou Dermani

Abdoul-Ganiou Dermani was born in Agou-Nyogbo,Togo. He studied Painting and Batik Art at CEAA ( College of Arts and Crafts ) in Kpalime, Togo.
He currently lives and works in Stuttgart, Germany. His artistic practice takes on many forms of expression, including Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media, Photography and Video.
His work has been shown at Facade Video Festival in Plovdiv, Bulgaria (2015); Time is Love Screenings (2015); Art City Short Film Festival in Buea, Cameroon (2015); “Aktionsraum” at Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart (2015); Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, Germany; Museum House of Humour and Satire, Gabrovo, Bulgaria; National Gallery of BiH, Sarajevo; Galerie Mirchandani+Steinruecke, Mumbai, India; Ana Tzarev Gallery, New York; Cairo Opera House, Cairo, Egypt; Los Angeles Center for Digital Art, Los Angeles; Family Unity Exhibition, Moscow (2011); Chobi Mela VI-Photo Festival, Dhaka, Bangladesh (2011); 2 nd Biennial of Painters and Sculptors, Split, Croatia (2010); 6 th Florence Biennial, Florence, Italy (2007).
Dermani´s Video „Virtuelle Kommunikation“ won the Best Video Art Prize at the 17 th International Film Festival „Zoom-Zblizenia“ in Jelenia Gora, Poland ( 2014 ).

The video „Tissa oukolo“ aims to promote love and peace among people.
Regardless of race, ethnic background and religion, we must respect each other and live together in peace. We are all human beings, we are one people.
Statement:
The world is beautiful with its cultural diversity but racism is a danger for humanity.
The skin color and ethnic background should not play a role into our modern societies.
People should be more tolerant, united and live together in peace.
Everybody has the right to travel and reside at the place of his/ her choice.
